Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell has been a chef, television host in America and an instructor at Institute of Culinary Education. Burrell hosts Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef, and is also the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, with her signature spiky blonde locks and pumped-up persona on the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, shares simple and easy to master methods for cooks at home. Chef Burrell also has worked in the top New York establishments, learned about Italian cuisine and its traditions as well as participated in Food Network's Iron Chef America. While growing up in Upstate New York, Chef Burrell developed a passion for food and cooking from an early age. Following her graduation with an English and Communications degree at Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her passion for the business of restaurant by enroling as a student at The Culinary Institute of America. I was awed by every minute that I was a student of The Culinary Institute of America she states. I couldn't learn enough couldn't accomplish enough, and I couldn't put in the effort enough. Following graduation, Chef Burrell was able to spend a full time in Italy attending Italy's Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners as well as working for La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 a one Michelin-starred restaurant located in Tuscany. Her time spent in Italy helped her to understand and appreciate the Italian tradition and philosophy, and has made an impact on her own perception of food. Burrell has served on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that brightens the lives of children facing obstacles and is also a Juvenile diabetes research foundation Celebrity Ambassador. she advocates for the awareness of juvenile diabetes. As a guest speaker and teacher Burrell travels throughout the U.S. to share her love for cooking and professional career. Anne has, through her whole cooking journey, has said that it's a pleasure to be able to share this passion for food with other people.
