Andressa Urach
When she was just 15, Andressa Urach began a romantic relationship with Tiago Costa. After three months of romance they moved in together to the house of Tiago Costa. Arthur Urach Costa (born May 19 in 2005) was their only child. Following marital disagreements they divorced in 2008 following six years together. Andressa moved to her mom's house together with her son. In six months, Andressa Urach quit her job and had to leave her child in the care of his father. Her main goal was to live a happier life within Sao Paulo. Andressa Urach describes in her book Morri, Para Viver how she experienced the sexual assault she endured as a young child. She was a victim from the age two to eight of being abused by her adoptive grandfather. Andressa was able to get away from the abuse due to Andressa's foster grandmother caught them in action. Andressa went back to remain at home with her mother, who didn't even know the fact that Andressa experienced any form of abuse until she published her book. In interviews that she achieved what, for her, was unattainable prior to her spiritual awakening: forgiveness of her victim. One of the hardest choices I've ever had to make was to contact the person who sexually assaulted me. It wasn't an easy decision. I said on the phone, after much praying and fasting, to forgive him. And even though I'm in no way guilty, I pleaded with forgiveness. But I did ask forgiveness and did not justify my actions. Mariste Urach describes her reaction during an interview exclusively with Globo, when she learned that sexual harassment was being perpetrated on her daughter. An interview on Globo Mariste Urach explains what she did after learning about the intimidation suffered by her daughter.
